SBTF's 2008 Race for Research was held Saturday, July 12, 2008. An estimated 1800 runners and walkers

Congratulations to all of our runners and walkers!! An overall best time of 16:38.0 was achieved by Steven Murray. The top female runner was Kimberly Kremer with a time of 19:31.0. An Excel file with all of the times for the 5K is available for review.
SBTF is
a supporter of the 2008 International Brain Tumour Awareness Week and the Walk Around the World for Brain Tumours sponsored
by the International Brain Tumour Alliance. SBTF will donate miles from the 2008 Race for Research to the 2008 Walk Around the World for Brain Tumours. The target is the equivalent of three times around the world at the Equator - a distance of 120,000 kms! See http://www.theibta.org for details.
The presentation of the 2007 SBTF Brain Tumor Research Grants was held on Wednesday January 30, 2008 at the Emory University Winship Cancer Institute. Click here for information on the awards.
The Atlanta Sharing Hope Brain Tumor Patient/Survivor/Family Meeting co-sponsored by the American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA), the Brain Tumor Foundation for Children (BTFC) and the Southeastern Brain Tumor Foundation (SBTF) was held February 29 through March 1, 2008. Some 150 individuals participated in this informative meeting.
David Bailey returned to the Atlanta area, Sunday, March 16th to perform at the Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church, Duluth, Georgia. SBTF is in the news on Atlanta Jewish Times Online. The article states "It's a worthy cause that the JT staff supports in memory of Bob Menaker, and we encourage the Atlanta Jewish Community to get involved." Sadly, the JT former editor Bob Menaker lost his battle with brain tumor in 2006.
The National Brain Tumor Foundation (NBTF) provides financial assistance to brain tumor patients across the country!
