We are proud to support the American Brain Tumor Association’s Jack and Fay Netchin Medical Student Summer Fellowship Program. This twelve-week mentored guided summer research program is intended to motivate talented medical students to pursue a career in neuro-oncology.
This year we are supporting med student Emily Lavell (the Mayo Clinic Jacksonville). Mentored by Hugo Guerrero-Cazares, MD, Ph.D., her research project “Role of Glioma Extracellular Vesicles on the Transformation of Neural Stem Cells” will study a potential new way to treat patients with GBM and other brain cancers.
