A new leader for SBTF’s next chapter of support, hope, and courage.
The Southeastern Brain Tumor Foundation is proud to announce that Tim Falvai has been named the organization’s next Executive Director, effective May 4, 2026. Tim joins SBTF with nearly two decades of leadership experience across the nonprofit, public, and private sectors and a deep commitment to families navigating serious medical diagnoses.
A Welcome From Our Board
“We are thrilled to welcome Tim to the Southeastern Brain Tumor Foundation. His leadership, vision and passion for serving others mark an exciting new chapter for our organization,” said Kelly Turner, president of the SBTF Board of Directors. “We look forward to the growth of our programs, expanded support for brain tumor patients and families, and the lasting difference we will make together for those we serve.”
A Leader for the Next Chapter
Tim brings a track record of strengthening nonprofit organizations from the inside out. Most recently, he served the lung cancer community at GO2 for Lung Cancer. Earlier in his career, he held roles at Kennesaw State University and in the private sector, including leading a marketing agency and supporting an early-stage startup.
Tim holds dual master’s degrees from Kennesaw State University, a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in marketing and a Master of Public Administration with a concentration in nonprofit administration and philanthropy. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in communication from Kennesaw State.
In Tim’s Own Words
“I am grateful to the board for entrusting me with this work and energized by the team and community I am joining,” Tim said. “SBTF stands for support, hope and courage, which together reflect a commitment to families navigating some of the most difficult moments of their lives.”
“My focus from day one will be ensuring that every family who needs us can count on SBTF, while building a stronger, more sustainable and diversified model for patient support and research funding. That foundation will allow SBTF to expand its reach, deepen its impact and better serve families across the Southeast as we work toward improved outcomes and ultimately a cure for brain tumors.”
The Road Ahead
Tim will work closely with SBTF’s all-volunteer Board of Directors, staff and volunteers to strengthen organizational capacity, diversify revenue and deepen the foundation’s reach across the patient, caregiver, clinical and donor communities it serves.
