Emory Brain Tumor Support Group
March 7 @ 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm
Hosted by the SBTF, the Emory Brain Tumor Support Group aims to provide an opportunity for information sharing and support for adult brain tumor patients, as well as their family, their friends and their caregivers. Learn about all the brain tumor support group opportunities on our Support Group Resource page.
The Emory Brain Tumor Support Group meets via the online platform Zoom. Occasionally, the group meets at the St. Joseph’s campus of Emory Healthcare in Atlanta, Georgia. The online format allows participants not in the Atlanta area and those who do not feel comfortable in a group setting to still have access to the support group.
Meetings are held every other Thursday from 12:30 – 2:00 pm ET. The meetings are open to patients and their caregivers. Some meetings include a guest speaker on topic relevant to the brain tumor community. Past guests have included representatives from the Brain Donor Project, the Jasper Health app, physical therapy professionals and more.
All support group meetings are facilitated by a trained medical professional (Farnaz Arabshahi, RN, FNP-c from Emory Johns Creek Hospital) and are inclusive of all patients who are facing a brain tumor diagnosis and their caregivers.
Please RSVP to Farnaz Arabshahi at farnaz.arabshahi@emoryhealthcare.org or call 404-668-9511 to register and receive the Zoom invite.
