Parents of Young Adult Survivors Support Group
June 13 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Transitioning your child from pediatric to adult brain tumor care can be difficult. This support group for parents of brain tumor patients provides parents of young adult survivors the opportunity to share experiences with others parents and to talk through some of the challenges they face. To allow for open conversation, this support group is only for the parents, their children are not invited to this meeting.
This meeting occurs the second Tuesday of each month from 6p-7p ET. Meetings are being held virtually via the Zoom platform to allow those not in the Atlanta area and those uncomfortable with group settings to continue to attend the support group. The support group is facilitated by Brittany Lawton, SW at Piedmont Brain Tumor Center.
To RSVP and receive further information including the Zoom invite, please email the support group coordinator, Brittany Lawton, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
This Southeastern Brain Tumor Foundation support group for parents of young adult brain tumor patients is in partnership with the Piedmont Brain Tumor Center.
There is a separate support group for the young adult survivors that also meets via Zoom. To learn about the other brain tumor support groups offered by the Southeastern Brain Tumor Foundation, please visit our Support Group Resource page.
