Voices of Hope Scholarship Program has record year

With almost 60 applicants, the Scholarship Program set a new record

This year the SBTF Voices of Hope Scholarship program received almost 60 applications from students impacted by a brain tumor seeking to further their education. Seventeen were selected to receive awards for the 2024/25 school year. Several generous donors created named scholarships to honor their brain tumor warrior including the Faulkenberry family, The Heyward House, The Karen Herman Legacy Foundation, the Pridgen family, and the Chandler family. The SBTF sends its gratitude on behalf of the students to everyone who donated and made these awards possible.

Each year the SBTF receives more applications from deserving students than we are able to award. If you’d like to contribute to the scholarship fund and assist these students, please visit our donation page.

The application window for the Voices of Hope Scholarship program 2025/26 academic year will open April 1, 2025, please check the website for details.

“This award means a lot to me because it shows that I am a very determined individual who despite the struggles cancer has created, continues to do her very best work. I am proud to show others that I will continue to persevere regardless of having to work twice as hard to get there.”

Anna G, 2024/25 Voices of Hope Scholarship awardee
