Lindsey juggles work, motherhood, and her passion for the Southeastern Brain Tumor Foundation. She joined the Board in 2020 and now moves into the role of Secretary.
In her role on the SBTF Board, Lindsey strives to increase the footprint of support to the community. A staunched advocate of strengthening awareness of our mission, Lindsey also hopes to build new, and to build upon existing, partnerships which will provide additional resources of support to the brain tumor community.
Lindsey tells us, in her role as SBTF Secretary, “I have a small part in making a big difference for brain tumor patients and their caregivers. As a caregiver for my Dad, I know firsthand how an organization like the SBTF can change a life. Unfortunately, brain tumors aren’t going away (yet) and until they do, there will be a family like mine, in need of guidance and support. The SBTF is vital to this community and through my role with the Foundation, I hope to widen the aperture of awareness for those in need.”
“My daughter never met her Grandfather; brain cancer took him from us. I wish he was here today to meet her. I just know they would have adored each other” says Lindsey. In the ever wise, short, and poignant words from my Dad I “choose joy”. It gives me great joy to serve as your 2021 SBTF Secretary.
